21 Days to A Positive-Attitude Habit

You may be surprised to learn… your attitude defines your success in life more than your aptitude!

What is the importance of attitude when it comes to achievement? Consider Thomas Edison, one of history\’s greatest inventors.
When you turn on a light switch, you are reminded of his perseverance despite continuous failure.

In order to make Edison\’s light bulb invention work, he tried 10,000 times, but every attempt failed. He didn\’t succeed, however, as he said. \”I haven\’t failed. I just found 10,000 ways that won\’t work.\”

A viewpoint like this can be learned, but it needs to be intentionally integrated into your daily life.

In order to break a habit, you need to replace it with a new one for about 21 days. You can replace your negative attitude with a positive one if you suffer from constant negative thoughts.

To change a negative attitude to a positive one, follow these five steps for 21 days.

1. Your thoughts are in your hands.

Decisions like this are made on a moment-by-moment basis, not overnight. Building a habit takes time. What can you do to execute this? Instead of thinking discouraging thoughts, choose to think uplifting ones.

Feelings are determined by what you think. Make positive thoughts a part of your daily routine by becoming aware of them and focusing on them.

Finding something positive may take some effort at first. Keep a journal for three weeks and write down one good thing every day. Instead of thinking discouraged thoughts, focus on these blessings.

2. Get inspired by reading.

Fill your mind with good thoughts during this 21-day training period. Don\’t judge a book by its cover. Before you open its cover, you\’ll never know what wonderful results await you!

3. Take time to focus on others.

Try to helpother people more during the next 21 days. You will benefit more from helping others than you realize if you focus on helping them. The wealth you gain will not be truly prosperous if your relationships are poor.

As you build your new positive-attitude habit over the next 21 days, you should make a special effort to focus on others. If you do this, you\’ll be free to allow the butterfly of happiness to land on your shoulder whenever you want.

4. Maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Neglecting your physical needs makes it difficult to maintain a positive mindset. You should make an extra effort to eat nutritious and balanced meals during your 21-day attitude retraining.

Making sure you get enough sleep will also be a major hurdle. Don\’t forget to exercise regularly. Try walking without interruption for 30 minutes when you are feeling down. You\’ll feel calm afterwards!

5. Become monk-minded

For the next 21 days, focus on what you have rather than what you lack. Enjoy your blessings and live in the moment.

Don\’t acquire stuff just to keep up with others. It only leads to more anxiety. Rather than complaining about what you don\’t have, be thankful for what you do have.

You can turn adversity into a blessing when you go through difficult experiences. The tough times may teach you some valuable lessons, as Thomas Edison did. (I know I have.)

It is possible to turn these lessons into credentials that will enable you to help others during tough times.

You don\’t want negativity ruining your present or future, so don\’t let it. You should instead develop the habit of having a positive attitude. A consistent change in the way you think will take about 21 days, but it will be worth the wait!
